The firm specializes in the acquisition and development of multifamily, office, and retail properties in the New York City metro area. The firm's targeted investment strategy rely on the underlying makeup of an institutional level foundation with an entrepreneurial style approach. This unique combination is the catalyst to sourcing, analyzing, structuring and executing investment decisions.
Who We Are
Lawrence Movtady
Lawrence graduated from the University of Miami's Real Estate program in 2013 and has over 10 years of real estate investment, development and operational experience in the United States. He currently oversees the strategic vision of the firm and is responsible for all aspects including acquisitions, project execution, capital raising and deal structuring. Prior to starting MOVCAP, Lawrence worked Acquisitions at AMAC Holdings for over 5 years, which is a vertically integrated, full service commercial real estate investment firm based in New York City. During his tenure, he led the acquisitions team in sourcing, underwriting, negotiating, and acquiring over $250M in assets in the New York City metro area.

MOVCAP focuses on value-add, opportunistic investments through the acquisition and development of properties and land within gateway markets. While analyzing investment opportunities, the firm selectively targets assets with strong fundamentals and a compelling basis poised for long term growth. After extensive due diligence and acquisition, our team collectively looks to reposition assets to the highest and best use, managing the entire process from project execution to disposition. MOVCAP leverages its deep rooted local market insight and broker relationships to identify and source opportunities.
